As Montammy Golf Club approached its 50th anniversary in 2015, club leadership realized that their aging and tired clubhouse facility was unable to fulfill the needs of their current and future membership. The club decided to undertake a monumental renovation program to celebrate their half-century and provide a superior quality member experience.
The intent was to replace what had become a predictable and well-used facility lacking in operational efficiencies and aesthetic appeal with a fresh, contemporary feel.
The designer’s task was to create a sophisticated contemporary design with broad appeal, and they paid particular attention to the use of neutral colors accented with dramatic lacquered details. Decorative lighting was a critical element to highlighting the design details and the contemporary carpet graphics inspired by nature, custom designed specifically for the club, completed the palette.
Furnishings were chosen for their dramatic presence to be comfortable, durable and exhibit the club’s penchant for quality. The selection of original contemporary artwork adds a layer of color splash subtly yet dramatically completing an interior design scheme to celebrate the clubhouse while highlighting the views to the golf course beyond.
