Summary

In a bold move for a city club, The Union League of Philadelphia purchased the ailing Torresdale Frankfort Country Club in suburban Philadelphia. With their usual commitment to being the best, they immediately gutted the building and began making necessary infrastructure repairs and upgrades that would be necessary to support the complete re-birth of the club.

With the goal of surpassing their already high Union League member expectations, virtually every area of the clubhouse was included in the project. With an emphasis on the historically social aspect of the club, a brand-new member bar and dining complex was created to include prominent outdoor dining. Today’s version of a business lounge was added to cater to their center city members full work schedules.

The golf shop was redesigned and fully stocked with a contemporary array of logo goods supporting the major renovation to their Donald Ross golf course. They also completely renovated the event facilities as well as the locker rooms and the transitional areas of the clubhouse. The membership has enthusiastically embraced all of the changes and are proud of the position that is held by their club.
