Summary

When Edgewood Country Club was acquired by Woodmont Properties, the vision was clear: to position the club at the forefront of Northern New Jersey’s private club community. Through a comprehensive, multi-phased transformation, JBD worked to revitalize the aging yet architecturally significant property, addressing virtually every aspect of the club’s facilities.

The transformation began with renovations to the golf shop and pool areas before extending to the main clubhouse and the newly constructed Midway Building. The main clubhouse was reimagined to enhance both popular member spaces and the club’s extensive event facilities, creating a dynamic, multi-use environment that reflects the evolving needs of today’s private club. A contemporary yet timeless design aesthetic brings renewed energy to the clubhouse while complementing its architectural character, earning enthusiastic response from both members and event guests.

The newly constructed Midway Building replaced the original Barn Building and serves as a vibrant hub of member activity. The facility features a member bar and outdoor dining terrace, a dedicated Steakhouse Restaurant, a “Grab + Go” offering at the Turn, a Kids Area, and golf simulators. Designed around the needs of today’s members, the building expands the club’s offerings while creating new opportunities for dining, recreation, and social connection.

Together, these projects have transformed Edgewood into a cohesive, member-focused campus and ushered in a renewed sense of energy and vitality, positioning the club for continued success well into the future.
