Summary
Originally constructed in 1931 by renowned golf course architect Donald Ross, this historic Clubhouse overlooks an original Ross-designed golf course. Designed by Clifford Wendehack, one of the leading clubhouse architects of his era, Mountain Ridge Country Club is distinguished by its grand Tudor character.
Beginning in 2014, JBD undertook a comprehensive renovation of the Clubhouse, carefully preserving and enhancing its architectural heritage. Following the successful completion of the initial renovation and subsequent membership approval, JBD was retained to expand and further transform the Club’s member experience.
The $11+ million project included expanded Member Dining areas featuring a dramatic Tudor-inspired Outdoor Grill and Covered Terrace; renovated Men’s and Women’s Locker Areas; a new Golf House and state-of-the-art Simulator Facility; and enhancements to the Golf Play Deck and Golf Putting Park.
Collectively, the project represents a holistic transformation of the Club’s facilities, thoughtfully integrating historic character with contemporary amenities and an enhanced member experience. The completed renovations were met with an overwhelmingly positive response from the membership, accompanied by significant increases in food and beverage engagement and overall member satisfaction.
